"Cops and Teachers"......should be the name of an indie rock band.
Yes, he's a cop, (SJPD) and she's a Teach, (prolly likes apples too). Remember these guys? Last time we were together, dogs and cats showed up as well. Lots of em. This time around, things were just the opposite, LOTS of sun. :) Shot this wedding at Casa Real in Pleasanton. Not my first go there but ALWAYS a great venue with top notch delivery from the staff and planning team.
Great wedding with great folks. Thanks for making us, (Quan and I) feel welcome. Such a pleasure to shoot for clients who "get it" and appreciate what we do. It's always a sad feeling when a wedding is wrapped up and the images are delivered. Can't say I don't have anything to look forward to. One day I just might shoot these guys again, Justin, Ashley and a baby? Hey, it could happen. ;) Big thanks to my man Quan. Always a pleasure my friend.
IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS!!!!!

The Rainy Engagement Session :: Valerie & Trip
These guys live in India. Pass the Naan.
Had a great session with these two while they were in the states a few weeks back. Trip and I have eaten at he same Brazilian Steakhouse in North Carolina. Weird coincidence.
Valerie is a mega-super-duder-TV Star on the tubes of India. Yes, India. While living there pursuing and her career she landed a spot on a reality TV show, (think, The Apprentice meets Bollywood) called "The Pitch". She is one of 10 contests and last we spoke they are down to just 3 and she's still IN!!. Prize is 1 Million towards your business. Man! Fingers crossed guys.
I'll have the pleasure of shooting their wedding in the ever beautiful Oak Farm Vineyards in Lodi Ca. Remember this Place? Oak Farm Vineyards Wedding
OH!!! and, Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
One of my faves.
Okay, here's a little background on this shot. Valeries ring wasn't available for the shoot. Jewelers were getting it prepared for some final touches. She was bummed. Oh well. Trip pulls some strings and unbeknown to Valerie, he gets the ring!! While on the session, we stage a shot where she is supposed to act surprised for a proposal reengagment. Seeing that she's an EPIC TV star, faking a surprised look shouldn't be too hard. The ring inside was supposed to be a fake I bring to every session. It was not. The reaction is genuine. This was her REAL ring. HAPPY!

San Fransisco Wedding Photographer :: Danielle & Roy
Everyone is life needs a nickname. After meeting Danielle and Roy for 5 minutes, Roy had affectionately dubbed my "Hotsauce". Roy went by "RoyAL", (could you have a more perfect alias?) You guys are the epitome of cool.
Rarely is it that I meet the subjects of my lens the day of the shoot. In the case with Danielle, (whom is a Dr. I might add) and Roy, they were married just the day before and THIS was a post wedding session. Sadly, I was booked and couldn't shoot their fabulous Westin St. Francis Wedding. Lucky for me, they thought enough of my work to hire us for their post wedding session. We even had access to the penthouse suite where they spent their first night as husband and wife. THIS particular suite was even used by our current President, Mrs Obama during a recent trip. Thats pretty Roy-al if you ask me.
We did well guys. REALLY well. Thanks for having me. :)
BIG thanks to Luke from Synder Photography for helping as assistant on this session. Major help my friend. Thanks again! Also wanted to say a nice thank you to the folk over at the Westin St. Francis for the referrals. These good folks were kind enough to to place us on their preferred list for photographers after we shot THIS wedding there last year. Mighty appreciative for the vote of confidence.
It's Tuesday. :)
~Sam
I love this shot.
Roy had to have this shot. I almost want to get myself a poster of it and put it in the garage with a pool table and neon lights.
Dude, you guys could BLEED cool. What gives man.
No city like our City.
