The MV Napa

I had the honor of shooting for the Golden Gate Bridge a few weeks ago. Yes, THE Golden Gate Bridge. In their role as providers of transportation for the lovely city of San Fransisco, they were mandated in having to purchase a marine vehicle, (thus, the MV Napa) to further their border of helping folks get from point A to point B. Long story short, The GGB bought the MV Napa, a ferry that had it's official commissioning June 10th. Several VIPs were present including a spokesperson from the White House who presented the GGB committee with a our glorious flag that had been flown over the White House just days before this event. Yours truly was there to capture it all.

The MV Napa will be harbored in Napa California, thus the name. The ceremony was there as well. To everyone's surprise, the sun completely disappeared. Everyone was expecting a scorcher of a day with the festivities being in Napa and all. We never saw the sun, rather we had a cool, overcast VERY windy day. I loved it.

Talent is a wonderful thing to have. One's talent will take them to the fulfillment of dreams. Talent mixed with hard work is a recipe for success in any path of life. That said, I'd be remiss not to mention that knowing the right people does what talent and hard work can't sometimes. I'm glad I know Ms. Kellee Hopper. Thank you, Kellee, for the shout to the powers that be over there at the GG Bridge. You are a wonderful person, and Moni and I are consider you as one of our closest friends. Homemade burgers on me? ;)

Thanks for the look everyone.

Talisha & Efrim :: Wedding

Talisha & Efrim were married just a couple months ago and themed their wedding in Moulin Rouge.
Deep reds and blacks. Feathers, black dresses for the bridesmaids. Vintage appeal throughout. The church also being laid with bricks and dark woods, seemed to be the perfect backdrop for the theme. Very fun wedding. For the group formals both dads lets us use their classic cars. Forgive me for not being able to name em. I'm a camera guy, not a car guy. :) They were cool though, I know that. Big congrats on the wedding once again guys. So glad to be a part.
Thanks to Jared for help on this one as second. I love shooting with this dude. He snores though look out.

Robin & Christopher :: Engaged

Firefighter meets Nurse. Firefighter like nurse. Nurse likes firefighter as well. Nurse and firefighter make out and decide to get engaged. True story, I swear!

Robin & Chris in da house!! Thanks for a delightful session you two. Lets see, we shot the beach, the railroad trellis, the Boardwalk, more beach and then downtown Santa Cruz. You think we missed anything? :) Hope you guys enjoy the shots. Wedding in just a few weeks. You guys rock my socks like chicken pox.

Big thank you to Ari for helping out on this one. I had NO clue the dude drove from L.A. just to be at the shoot. Mow THAT'S dedication. :) You're money bags bud.

Amanda & Matt :: Engaged

Such a spirited, fun couple. I'll have the pleasure of shooting for Amanda & Matt's wedding in Sept in Michigan. Amanda's brother is Phillip, who's wedding I shot the last quarter of 08'. If I ever felt like I caught the spirit of a couple during a session I did here. Genuinely sweet folks and the session was extra awesome with the presences of 2 good friends, Brian and Maurice. Thanks for the tag-team guys. Always a pleasure.

Enjoy the shots guys. Tune in for 2 more sessions I plan on posting later tonight and tomorrow. I also haven't forgot about the official naming of the tick who bit me. Kinda sounds like a movie title there doesn't it, "The tick who bit me". Yay!

One of my fav's from the day.

Big thanks to Bycycles! in downtown pleaston for being so kind in letting us use the bikes for a few shots.

I love this. Reminds me of the one scene from Alien.
I told them to give me gangsta rapper. Yeah?
Ready? 1, 2, 3....awwwwww.
