Jimmy and Jessica's wedding was loads of fun, (scroll down to the end and you'll see why). Really fun folks and and even funner bridal party. Some serious memories were made.
The wedding was in Albuquerque NM. My first time there as was many others but it was home for Jessica. Seemed fitting to have it there now that she is here in San Jose. I sure you all in NM miss her and she misses you :(
Jimmy and Jessica, graciously took the entire wedding party to a "carts and golf" type place to spend the rest of the evening. What better way to spend some last good byes then at the race track. Best part o the entire shoot was when the bridal party got in the bumper boats and realized ONLY when they were strapped in that the boats came equipped with water guns. Ahahaha, made for the killer shots. The last shot was in the ultra violet light room when.
Thanks again Jared for coming along for the ride. You always help man. Sonic burger at 2:00 a.m. each night was not very ideal. Sorry I snored too. Dude threw a pillow at me each night.
Enjoy the shots guys.

Joan & Raven
Some of the coolest people in the Bay Area these two. Had a blast shooting their engagement session in Santa Cruz!! What a town man. We were able to get a good mix of of locations, starting at Raven's father's home in SC. Every seen a house that was half rain forest? That will give you a good idea of the house. Flowers/plants and trees EVERYWHERE. Very nice and it made for a great backdrop.
We hopped in the cars and drove down to the beach from there. What else did you expect if were already in Santa Cruz. We get there and we were met with a glorious sunset. Just amazing.
So to everyone that wonders what takes place behind the scene with me during a shoot, you get a special treat of an outtake from our beach half of the session.
So the sequence of things went like this. It was just before sundown. I usually like to shoot against the sun and that's how we started. I positioned them where I thought they/I would be safe......I was wrong. I thought this was hysterical. I was JUST as soaked, (but minus a gulp of sea water) as these guys. Luckily I had enough foresight to take off the bags and only had my camera in hand, (no she didn't get wet)
After about 2 minutes of shock and wondering whether I got the shot or not I noticed the sky behind us. Breathtaking. By then Raven, (groom) had his shirt off trying to ring it out and and we did the shot again but MUCH higher up than before. They were such awesome sports.
Enjoy the shots.

Kate & Phillip : Engagement Session

Theses two were a blast to work with. Truly in love and up for anything I wanted to do. My kind of clients :) Meet Katie and Phillip. Katie is a California native while Phillip resides originally from Michigan. So what brought him to the West Coast? You guessed it, he met Katie through a friend and decided she was worth moving for. Good choice man!
Their wedding will be outdoor in Sacramento. Woot! I love outdoor stuff. Real wise of them to hold off until Sept to tie the knot seeing that Sacramento has some of the hottest summers in the country. Katie has some really great colors planned with the brides maids and grooms men both in pastels and cream. They've got some really great photo ideas for the group. I'm holding you to it guys.
Did my usually post processing and finished the evening in Santa Row, (getting to be a fave to visit) Did some night shots there with some off camera lighting. We'll see you two in a couple months guys. Enjoy the shoot.

4th of July Weekend~Swimming

This post is for all my family and friends that accuse me of not posting enough of the family. Perhaps your right. I do post shots in my wife's blog every now and then. Give her blog a look see.
This was Ethan's, (my older son) first time in a swimming pool. How was it? He is fearless! Nothing slows him down. He was pretty upset with me for yanking him out. Look at him just staring me down in the hot dog shot. Sorry bubba, you started to look like a raisin your 3rd hour in.
Also got a shot of Momma and Jon~Paul, (A.K.A. Goo-Goo's). Such a chunker! I swear he is a spitting image of Ethan at this age. Enjoy the shots.
