Luis Lenzi :: Musician

It's a known fact that the coolest instruments to play are the Electric Guitar and the Sax. All the other instruments look up to these 2 and wish they could be them. Truly saddened for those lesser instruments. Please say a prayer for them.

Don't get a chance to shoot musicians as often as I'd like but when I do it's always a good time. Luis Lenzi is quite the accomplished Saxophonist. While on our shoot together, I had him play the entire time. It really seemed to evoke some real emotion in the images. We shot it at Santana Row and had lots of ooooos and awww's from the passerby's. Mostly from Luis's exquisite playing, (and probably from my laying down on the sidewalk during peak foot traffic). These images will be used in his upcoming CD as well as other promotional needs.

A big thank you to Scott Mosher for helping out as assistant on this set. Hope the rig is okay, (he dropped his camera while shooting. It was a Nikon so it doesn't really matter whether it broke or not) *kidding Scott* Your pure Rock & Roll dude.

Diane & Rob :: Engagement

Diane & Rob will be getting married this March at my favorite venue in the East Bay. The Palm Event Center is just beautiful. I shot Adam & Nicoles wedding there last summer. Love it there.

Diane & Rob were pretty much the easiest folks in the world to shoot. I wished I looked as good as Rob does when sportin a 5'oclock shadow. I end up scaring people when I do that. Took them to downtown Pleasanton and a country/city session. Worked out very well.

This is also the very first, (posted) engagement session I've done with my new camera the 5Dmark2. I'm in love folks. Seeing how car buffs name their cars at times, I'm gonna name my camera. I came up with "Shelly". Not sure why, just looks like a Shelly. Regardless her name, Shelly is awesome.

Big thanks to Janna for helping out with assisting during our session. I was able to grab some behind the scenes with her. (still waiting for the ones of me laying on the ground :)

Families, Families!!

2 sessions, 2 families, 2 much fun!! (Okay, that was the cheesiest intro ever but who cares right) Both families are dear friends to my wife and I. Both even attend our home church. Lots of fun and plenty of room for love, relationships and goofiness. Thank you Tikolutu's and Masoner's. All of you were such a blast.

I'm crazy behind on so much right now. I feel like I edited for the past month and still don't see the light at the end of the tunnel. To give you an idea of what I'm working on.

4 weddings
3 engagement sessions
5 family sessions
2 musician/band sessions
12 wedding album, (ahhhhhh)
3 gazillion Ethan, Jon-Paul pics

All while holding down the fort with emails, contracts, TONS of paper work, permits, consultations, fulfilling print orders etc. Whoever said being a photographer was a glamorous job lied. Running a photography business is 10% photography and 90% business. That said, I would do nothing else :) Rant over.
