I had a great session with some pretty awesome folks last Saturday. I took Scott and Sarah to Gilroy, where nestled deep into the canyons just past Monterey highway you'll find several green hilled VINEYARDS. I know - I know, I had no idea there were vineyards in Gilroy either. Though the vineyards were far from being in bloom, they still made for a great backdrop for our lovely session. We even got permission from a local home owner to use their land and old rustic barn for a few shots. Thanks Lydia!
Currently, Sarah is in the field of accounting. Scott, a Yale grad, works in the video game industry. So he has a gorgeous girl and makes money playing video games......not bad Scott, not bad at all.
Scott and Sarah have been dating for about 8 years with their first date being their Junior Prom. I tried to wrestle a picture from Sarah to post, just for the heck of it but she refused. I bet she had puffy sleeves and 3 foot hair wave. Scott must have had on a tuxedo t-shirt. Thats what I had on at my prom anyway. Just kidding guys.
They both grew up in Sonoma county and their wedding day is going to be the 12th of July. Their venue is outdoor wedding/reception in Napa at a local vineyard. Doesn't it just sound magical? I bet you guys can't wait. Enjoy the photos guys.

Our Newest Addition
Many of you know my wife and I just had a baby. Moni, (my wife) has a blog with a focus on our home. She is pretty much out of commission for a few weeks so I decided to hijack her blog and talk about Jon~Paul Jackson Hassas. If you wanna read up on it, check her blog out here. What can I say, I'm a proud papa. Take care.

New Business Cards
Decided to change things up a little bit with a new card design. I buy cards in packs of 100 so I can force myself to drum up a new design each time. This time I made 2 different kinds, one for portrait and the other for wedding photography. The backs of the cards are always the same, displaying my logo and website link. Really fun to design when I have a free night. I'm planning on doing a senior card also. Who will it be?????
Photogs, here is a link to where I get them made. $2.00 extra gets a cool rounded corner card per 100. Really adds a nice touch. I don't recommend the UV coat, kinda gives it a cheap "rave flier" look. Go with matte. www.overnightprints.com

Jessica & James
This fine couple will be tieing the knot this coming July. We spent the day together a few Saturdays ago and did an engagement session in the city. These guys were so cool. they let me do some creative stuff, (I cut my teeth on this) and we just took over the town. Lots of chemistry between the two. Didn't even have to ask them to pose most of the time. They just knew what to do........
Jessica is from New Mexico and thats where we will be shooting their wedding. Once married, She will be moving over to our side of the country to be with her new husband. I'm sure she will be missed. Enjoy the photos. ****Disclaimer: No melons were hurt/injured during this engagement session.****

The Keyes/Johnson Family
My favorite one in the set
I had the pleasure of photographing a very special family a few weeks ago. To the friends and family who frequent my blog often, you will know who they are. To all the others, Pastor Randy Keyes is the Assistant General Superintendent of the United Pentecostal Church otherwise known as the UPC. I remember growing up and hearing this man preach, buying his tapes and then memorizing SEVERAL of his messages. Though thousands heard his messages, my audience comprised of stuffed animals and an occasional hairbrush. And here years later I get the opportunity to have a photo session for him and his wonderful family. Brother Randy Keyes has been an icon in our movement. Being with him and his family was like being around royalty. After being around them a few minutes I saw that they were a down to earth loving family. Really great people.
Pastor Todd Johnson was one of my, (as well as many of my preacher buddies) favorite young preacher growing up. I remember him preaching a youth camp I was at with his title being "Can you worship with a knife?". Bro Johnson if your reading this I never forgot the message. It had a great impact on me as many other that were there that morning. In the middle of his message he pulled out the biggest Ginsu you've ever seen in your life. Scared the fire right out of us. For those wanting to known what the message was about, buy the tape and sell it not. Here's a ink to their great church, Revival Center.I love this one below! Pure child magic.
Check out the little ones expression. Pricless.
Suave dude isn't he?
