My Nephews: Babies

Before I talk about these cuties and my sister whom they call mommy, I'm gonna give you some premble. I get a steady stream of emails asking about my techniques, equipment used and locations I shoot often. Prepare yourselves, I'm making a "what would Sam do" post very soon. Among those question's I often get the question, "where are you from". By "from", I'm guessing they mean originally as I consider myself an American. With a last name like Hassas, (said: Ha-sauce) I figure it's fair enough to wonder.

The name is Afghani as I am from Afghanistan. Born there too actually, just too young to remember anything. During our families migration to the U.S. we made Germany our home for about a year+. This is where my sister comes in. Siely, (my younger sister) was born there and there MUST have been a mix up at the hospital during her birth. While ALL the rest of us Hassas's have dark hair, dark eyes and olive skin color she showed up.......well.......German looking. Green eyes, fair hair color and milk white skin. Somewhere there is a 20 something year old women who looks like me with the last name Fenstermacher, I just know it.

These are her gorgeous twin boys. My Nephews. One of them is clearly German....................heil.

Stella & Baby Mikaela

Drum roll please.........for the first time ever, Hassas does a baby session. **crowd roars, everyone does the wave**
Congrats to Stella and the whittle, cutie patutee, rollie pollies, (me sounding like a dunce while talking to babies) baby Mikaela. Session was fun! Challenging as well. Wow! Babies answer to no one. Kinda the fun in shooting them however. Nothing is planned or rehearsed. I decided my approach should be to just shoot the cuteness. How'd I do? I think they turned out rather nicely.

Lots of sessions coming up. I've been a busy bee. Gonna be a good ride. Enjoy the show y'all

She did this right after Stella, (mommy) told her she was gonna take her to Sears for her next photo shoot. Yeah, I'd cry too.

Cassandra & Danny :: Wedding

Cassandra's dream has always been to have a winter themed wedding. I've always dreamed of shooting a wedding in the winter. Match made in heaven right? Seriously though, this wedding ranked high in style and class points. So awesomely trawesome. Look at that I made up my own phase. THAT'S how awesome it was.

The wedding took place in Lake Tahoe. Forecast said that we were NOT going to have snow on the wedding day. Boo-hoo, we really wanted it as it will create a creamy backdrop for the day. SURPRISE! The night before the wedding it came down good. The landscape was now PERFECT. Someones looking out for you guys.

Lots of really special details with this wedding as well. The tux Danny is wearing belonged to his departed father of recent years. His father was married in this exact tux. WOW. You looked quite dapper......Dan :P Cass the fur was brilliant. Everyone looked stunning. Thanks for not freezing over on me guys. Blue people are tough to Photoshop. Seriously, wind chill was like negative 300 I think.

A shout out to my homie, partner in crime, second shooter Patrick for helping out as second shooter on this one. This guy took lots of stuff I was thoroughly jealous of. Well done man. Cass & Dan, thanks for the awesome opportunity. You guys are so cool. Enjoy the new life together.
